On 31 July 2024, the All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU) hosted a distinguished citizens’ meeting at Hotel Royal De Casa in Guwahati, where senior members and representatives from the AAGSU, Assam Gorkha Sammelan, and the Gorkha Development Council gathered to discuss critical issues impacting the Gorkha community in Sixth Schedule areas.
