Bokajan, 9 August 2026: The Karbi Anglong District Committee, All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU), along with the CBRC Regional Committee, AAGSU, participated in a friendly football match on 9 August 2026 at Matipul Playground, Bokajan, Karbi Anglong, Assam. The match was organised as part of the 4th Gorkha Football Tournament hosted by the CBRC Regional Committee, AAGSU.

The friendly match saw participation from Karbi Anglong District Committee members Ajit Sampang Rai, Ankit Rai and Subash Yakkha. The match was organised with the objective of promoting football, sportsmanship, teamwork, unity and healthy participation in sports among the youth.

Such sporting activities provide young people with an opportunity to come together, build friendship, strengthen community bonds and encourage a positive and active lifestyle. The friendly match reflected the true spirit of sportsmanship, friendship, unity and community participation.

The Karbi Anglong District Committee, AAGSU, appreciated the initiative of the CBRC Regional Committee, AAGSU, in organising the 4th Gorkha Football Tournament and providing a platform for young people to showcase their sporting spirit and talent.

The friendly match was a meaningful initiative that further strengthened friendship, unity and cooperation among the members of AAGSU while encouraging greater participation of youth in sports and community activities.
