
Haflong, June 7: A friendly volleyball match organized by 26th Assam Rifles was successfully conducted on Sunday with the objective of promoting sportsmanship, physical fitness, teamwork, and strengthening cordial relations among the participants. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youths and members of various organizations, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
The match commenced at 4:00 PM and continued until 5:30 PM, with players displaying remarkable skill, discipline, and team spirit throughout the competition. The event served as an excellent platform for fostering friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding among the participants while encouraging healthy sporting competition.
Among those present were Rohit Joishi, District Sports Secretary of the All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union, Gaurav Sharma, Assistant Sports Secretary, Sagun Chetri, Secretary, and Bishal Joishi, Education Secretary. The dignitaries appreciated the initiative taken by 26th Assam Rifles and emphasized the importance of sports in promoting unity, leadership, discipline, and positive engagement among young people.
