Mahur, June 21, 2026: The first Executive Meeting of the All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU), Mahur Regional Committee, was successfully held at Jangali Basti, Mahur, on Sunday. The meeting was attended by the President, Secretary, office bearers, and Executive Members of the committee.

During the meeting, members held detailed discussions on various organizational matters, future plans, and welfare-related issues concerning the Gorkha community. The committee reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the organization and working collectively for the welfare, unity, and overall progress of the community.

As part of the programme, the Mahur Regional Committee felicitated students from the Mahur area who successfully passed the Higher Secondary Examination in recognition of their sincere efforts, dedication, and commendable academic achievements. The committee encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence and wished them success in their future pursuits.

The committee also felicitated Sri Navin Chetri, former Assistant Secretary of the AAGSU Mahur Regional Committee, on his selection as an Agniveer in the 3rd Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Armed Forces. The members congratulated him on this remarkable achievement and extended their heartfelt best wishes for a successful and distinguished career in service to the nation.

The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge by all members to work with dedication and unity for the upliftment of students and the overall development of the Gorkha community.
