Upper Bagater, Haflong, Dima Hasao, 7 September: The All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU), Dima Hasao District Committee organized a felicitation programme at Upper Bagater, Haflong, on 7 September 2026 to honour Shri Siddharth Pande, newly appointed Advisor, and Shri Probin Joishi, newly appointed Vice President of the AAGSU Dima Hasao District Committee.

The programme was organized to extend heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed office bearers and to acknowledge their commitment towards the organization and the Gorkha community. The district committee expressed confidence that their experience, dedication and active involvement would contribute towards strengthening the organization and promoting unity and welfare within the community.

The programme was attended by office bearers of the AAGSU Dima Hasao District Committee and Haflong Regional Committee. Those present included Shri Uttam Gharti, President; Shri Bishal Sharma, Vice President; Shri Bevak Ananda Joishi, General Secretary; Smt. Sagun Chetri, Secretary; Smt. Kusum Joishi, Cultural Secretary; Shri Siblal Joishi, Chief Volunteer; Shri Shibu Upadhaya, Finance Secretary; Shri Bishal Joishi, President, Haflong Regional Committee; and Shri Rupak Sharma, Secretary, Haflong Regional Committee.

The newly appointed office bearers were felicitated in a cordial and warm atmosphere. The gathering conveyed its best wishes for their successful tenure and expressed hope that they would continue to work with dedication and sincerity for the welfare, unity and organizational development of the Gorkha community.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment from the members present to extend cooperation and support to the newly appointed office bearers in carrying forward the objectives and activities of the AAGSU, Dima Hasao District Committee.
