
Rowta, January 14, 2026: Preparations are in full swing for the 11th edition of the Dalbir Singh Lohar Trophy (DSL Trophy) open Cricket tournament, which is being organized by the All Assam Gorkha StudentsтАЩ Union (AAGSU), Rowta Anchalic Committee. The much-anticipated tournament will be held from January 18, 2026 to February 8, 2026 at the High School Playground, Bhanuchowk, Rowta, under Udalguri district.
According to the organizing committee, the tournament is expected to witness the participation of several cricket teams from different parts of the state, making it one of the major sporting events in the region. The competition aims to encourage young talents, promote sportsmanship, discipline, unity, and foster a healthy sporting environment among the youth.
The organizers have announced attractive cash prizes for the participating teams. The champion team will be awarded a cash prize of тВ╣50,000 along with a trophy, while the runners-up team will receive тВ╣30,000 along with a trophy. To ensure wider participation, the entry fee for teams has been fixed at тВ╣4,000 only.
Speaking about the event, members of the organizing committee stated that the DSL Trophy has, over the years, played an important role in promoting cricket at the grassroots level and providing a platform for young players to showcase their talent. They further added that all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure the smooth conduct of the tournament and the convenience of players and spectators.
