On 31st May, a meeting regarding the reorganization of the Haflong Regional Committee of the All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU) was successfully held at Gorkha Bhavan , Upper Bagetar Haflong DIMA HASAO
The programme commenced with the hoisting of the AAGSU flag by the outgoing committee President, Shri Probin Joishi. Following the flag hoisting ceremony, the open session (Adhibasan) formally began with the participation of members and delegates Observers from the AAGSU Dima Hasao District Committee, namely Mr. Dilip Thapa (Vice President), Mr. Krishna Sharma (Vice President), Miss. Sagun Chettri (Secretary), and Mr. Rohit Joishi (Sports Secretary).

The program commenced with a welcome address delivered by the former President of the Regional Committee Haflong, Mr. Probin Joishi and Vishal Sharma, General Secretary. This was followed by a speech from Mr. Uttam Gharti ( President AAGSU Dima Hasao District Committee), Shri Dilip Chetri (Executive Member, AAGSU CENTRAL COMMITTEE) along with

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on organizational strengthening, future plans of action, and various organizational matters. The office bearers of the newly constituted committee were also presented with several important agendas and were guided on ways toh further strengthen the organization.

Following the discussions, the final reorganization of the committee was completed. As a result, Mr. Bishal Joishi was appointed as the President of the Regional Committee, while Mr. Rupak Sharma was entrusted with the responsibility of General Secretary. Suitable individuals were also appointed to various other positions within the committee.

The program continued until 6:00 PM, after which an oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected office bearers was conducted. During the ceremony, all office bearers pledged to work with honesty, dedication, and responsibility towards the organization.

In conclusion, the General Secretary, of previous Haflong Regional Committee Mr. Vishal Sharma , delivered the vote of thanks and expressed the committee’s commitment to work wholeheartedly for the welfare and advancement of the organization and the Gorkha community. With this, the program was declared successfully concluded.
