Nagaon, 20 August 2026: Nagaon District AAGSU, in association with the Nagaon District Nepali Sahitya Sabha, observed Bhasha Divas at Nepali Mandir, Nagaon, with great enthusiasm and respect for linguistic and cultural diversity.

The programme highlighted the importance of preserving, promoting and strengthening our languages, literature and rich cultural heritage. Speakers and participants emphasized that language is an important part of identity, culture and heritage, and stressed the need for collective efforts to safeguard and promote linguistic traditions among the younger generation.

The observance also provided an opportunity to reflect on the significance of linguistic diversity and the role of literature and cultural institutions in preserving the rich heritage of different communities. The participation of members of Nagaon District AAGSU and Nagaon District Nepali Sahitya Sabha added significance to the programme.

The organisers expressed their commitment to continuing efforts towards the promotion of language, literature and culture while fostering mutual respect and harmony among different linguistic and cultural communities.

The Bhasha Divas observance concluded with a renewed commitment to preserve and promote linguistic and cultural heritage and to encourage the younger generation to remain connected with their language, literature and traditions.
