Haflong, 8 July: The All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU), Dima Hasao District Committee, has expressed its heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Laxman Bhandari, Member of the AAGSU Haflong Regional Committee and Volunteer In-Charge, for his selfless act of donating blood to a pregnant woman who was in urgent need of blood at a critical time.
Responding promptly to the emergency, Mr. Bhandari, a trained NCC Cadet, voluntarily came forward to donate blood, demonstrating exceptional compassion, humanity, and a strong sense of social responsibility. His timely contribution provided hope and support to the patient’s family and played an important role during a critical medical situation.
The AAGSU Dima Hasao District Committee commended Mr. Bhandari for setting an inspiring example of selfless service and humanitarian values. The Committee stated that such noble acts reflect the true spirit of volunteerism and encourage others, especially the youth, to come forward and contribute towards society through blood donation and community service.
The Committee also emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation, noting that a single donation can help save lives and bring hope to families facing medical emergencies. It appealed to all eligible citizens to participate in blood donation drives and support those in need whenever possible.
