Patgaon, 18 January: felicitation and farewell programme of the All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU) was successfully organized by the Patgaon Anchalik Committee today. The programme was held to felicitate the newly elected President of the Kokrajhar District unit and to bid farewell to the outgoing President Mukunda Bhattrai
The meeting was graced by the presence of the President himself, Aita Gishing the Secretary, Sebastian Ratney, along with Central Health Secretary Amrit Khadka , BTC Region Education Secratary Shankar Rai and secretaries Bhuban Poudel , Raj Tamang , Hemant Pokhrel.Their presence added dignity and importance to the occasion. The Programme was runned by both the President Patgaon Anchalik Committee Rohan Singh Baraily and Secratary Kumar Tamang .
During the programme, the newly elected President was warmly welcomed and honored, while heartfelt farewell wishes were extended to the outgoing President in recognition of his contributions and dedicated service to the organization.
The speakers highlighted that this was the first time such an initiative had been taken by the Patgaon Anchalik Committee, making the event historic and meaningful. The meeting proved to be fruitful, as several important resolutions were passed, including discussions on filling vacant positions within the Patgaon Anchalik Committee .
