Guwahati, May 27: The All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU), Kamrup Metro District Committee, is set to organise the “Student Felicitation Programme 2026” to honour meritorious students who have excelled in the HSLC and Higher Secondary examinations conducted in 2026. The programme will be held on June 6, 2026 (Saturday) at Assam Down Town University, Panikhaiti, Guwahati.

According to the organisers, students securing 60 percent and above in the HSLC and HS examinations of 2026 will be eligible for the felicitation programme. The initiative has been undertaken to recognise the hard work, dedication, and academic success of students and to encourage them towards greater achievements in the future.

AAGSU Kamrup Metro District Committee has requested all eligible students to register through the Google Form and submit the necessary documents, including marksheets, passport-size photographs, and contact details. The organisers stated that the programme is expected to witness the participation of a large number of students, guardians, and distinguished guests from different parts of the district.

One of the major highlights of the event will be the oath-taking ceremony of the newly formed district committee. The newly elected office bearers and members of the district committee will officially take oath during the programme in the presence of students, social workers, and community leaders.

The organising committee informed that preparations for the event are progressing in full swing. Through this programme, the organisation aims not only to honour academic excellence but also to strengthen educational awareness and unity among students and the Gorkha community.

AAGSU Kamrup Metro District Committee has appealed to students and guardians to actively participate in the programme and make the event a grand success. Carrying the slogan “For Students, By Students,” the organisation believes that such initiatives will motivate young students to continue striving for excellence in education and contribute positively to society.

The organisers have also provided contact numbers for further information and assistance regarding registration and participation in the programme. The event is expected to serve as an inspiring platform for young achievers and an occasion to celebrate academic success with pride and unity.
