Haflong, 5 August: The All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU), Dima Hasao District Committee, in association with the AAGSU Haflong Regional Committee, attended the Shraddha Ceremony of Late Babudhan Shai, Forester-I and a respected social worker, to offer prayers and pay their heartfelt tributes to his memory.

During the programme, AAGSU members remembered Late Babudhan Shai as a humble, dedicated, and socially committed individual whose contributions to society earned him widespread respect. The members expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength, courage, and solace during this difficult time. They also offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

Those present at the ceremony included Uttam Gharti (President, AAGSU Dima Hasao District Committee), Bibekananda Joishi (Secretary), Bishal Sharma (Vice President), Shibu Upadhaya (Treasurer), Ujjwal Joishi (IT Secretary), Bishal Joishi (President, AAGSU Haflong Regional Committee), Rupak Sarma (Secretary), Shiblal Joishi (Sports Secretary), Sujal Joishi (Assistant Organization Secretary), and Devendra Sarma (President, AAGSU College Unit).

The programme concluded with a heartfelt tribute to the late Babudhan Shai, followed by prayers seeking eternal peace for the departed soul and strength and comfort for his grieving family.
