The All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU), Dibrugarh District Committee, is set to organise a two-day programme aimed at strengthening the organisation and recognising academic excellence among the Gorkha community.

On 11 July 2026, an Organisational Workshop will be held at Naharkatiya College. The workshop will focus on organisational development, leadership, student issues, and future activities of the union. Representatives, office bearers, and members from various regional committees are expected to participate in the programme.

Following the workshop, a Special Felicitation Programme will be organised on 12 July 2026 to honour meritorious students who have excelled in their academic pursuits. The programme will also recognise individuals who have achieved significant milestones in higher education and research, including recipients of doctoral degrees, research scholars, and other outstanding achievers for their contributions to academics and education.

The programme will be graced by representatives of the Central Committee of All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union, including Mr. Sanjib Chouhan, Interim President of AAGSU, and Mr. Numal Chetry, General Secretary of AAGSU, along with other distinguished guests and organisational leaders.

The All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union warmly welcomes students, guardians, well-wishers, and members of the community to participate in these programmes and extend their support. The committee looks forward to the enthusiastic cooperation of all concerned in making both events a grand success.
