Bokajan, 01 August 2026: The 4th Bokajan Gorkha Football Tournament was officially inaugurated amidst great enthusiasm and community spirit, marking the beginning of a sporting event aimed at promoting unity, discipline, sportsmanship, and brotherhood within the Gorkha community.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by renowned social worker Sri Bikash Limbu as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Sri Badri Sharma (Social Worker), Sri Ganesh Gurung, Sri Roshan Rai, and representatives from SGB Mahindra, Kurmi, Matipul, Bokajan.

The programme commenced with a Swachhata Abhiyan (Cleanliness Drive), followed by a flag hoisting ceremony led by Sri Kanchan Lama, President of the RC Committee. The ceremony was attended by Sri Rajesh Lama, President of the Centre Bokajan Regional Committee (CBRC), AAGSU, Sri Bishal Sunar, General Secretary, Sri Ajit Rai, Former General Secretary, along with committee members, players, and football enthusiasts.

The successful inauguration set a positive tone for the tournament, reflecting the community’s commitment to fostering sportsmanship and strengthening unity among the Gorkha youth through football.
